Three childrens' names were spelled with "C" in the Evangelisch-Reformierte, Contwig 1711 thru 1717, and four others were spelled with "C" in Evangelisch­Reformierte, Winterbach, Pfalz, Bayern 1720 thru 1731. When did they emigrate, what ship? This family has all of the same family given names as the COW / COY families in MD and PA. The family went to OH in 1800.

Possible relation -- William COY (b 18 Oct 1818, Beaver Creek Twp, Greene Co OH), married there on 17/19 Sep 1839 to Sarah Jane STEELE (b Jan 1818, OH). They were in IA in 1880. They probably went to CA early 1880s, as their son Dorwin COY m 1885 in CA to Hattie COTTER; they were in CA in 1900.
