Chapters

CHAPTERS are organized to encourage personal participation, to make possible more fellowship, and to provide easy access to local workshops and research within an area. Most chapters publish a newsletter, print publications, and hold conferences, workshops, and seminars. Currently, Palatines to America has chapters in Colorado, Indiana, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. When you join or renew your membership, be sure to choose a chapter so you do not miss out on information in their newsletter. You can join additional chapters as well.

Colorado

The Colorado Chapter was formed in 1980 in response to the needs of area genealogists interested in doing research on their German-speaking ancestors. Today about 20 percent of Colorado residents trace their ancestry back to Germany.

 Indiana

The Indiana Chapter was the second state chapter of Palatines to America to be formed. The first formal meeting of the chapter was held April 16, 1977. Members are interested in Germanic genealogy generally and/or in the Midwest region.
